Mr Ram is the owner of the practice; he bought the practice back in 2001 with his wife Asha Ram. Mr Ram has a keen interest in orthodontics and has been treating orthodontic cases since 2002. Mr Ram treats predominately private patients and NHS orthodontic patients. His patients often talk of his calming approach to dental treatment and feel at ease during treatment.
Mrs Ram is the owner of the practice; she bought the practice back in 2001 with her husband Raj Ram. Her patients enjoy her sensitive and caring nature with regards to dental treatment, understanding the needs of nervous patients in particular. Mrs Ram has a keen interest in cosmetic treatment and enjoys seeing transformations of patient’s smiles in particular our whitening kits which are cost friendly and a very simple effective treatment.
Monika qualified in 1994 in Lublin, Poland. She joined Regency House Dental Practice in May 2005.Monika sees mostly NHS patients. She is friendly and has a bubbly personality, her polite, helpful and efficient manner ensures her patients leave the surgery confident and happy. Monika carries out all aspects of general dentistry, her years experience have provided her with vast knowledge and she continues to expand on this.
Sylwia qualified as a Dentist in 1999 in Szczecin in Poland, she came to U.K in 2005 and joined Regency House Dental Practice in early 2011. Sylwia provides all aspects of NHS dentistry, her patients often comment on what a good team Julie H and her make, providing a welcoming surgery to put all patients at ease. Sylwia is very chatty and helpful, she is especially good with nervous patients due to her sympathetic approach.
Mark Howdle BDS (U.Birm 1989), DGDP(UK 1995), MDentSci(U.Leeds 1999), MFDS RCS (Edin 2000) is a Specialist in Periodontics accredited by the General Dental Council. He is devoted to the treatment of gum problems, including dental implants and cosmetic dentistry, working in close harmony with general dentists and other specialists. Mark has over 26 years of experience.
He works closely with Julie at the practice providing implants. He is friendly and approachable.
Desrin is one of our Dental Therapist. She has over 10years experience qualifying as Dental Hygiene Therapist in 2007 from Sheffield University. She works closely with Bryannie providing a range of treatments to adults and children including fillings, periodontal treatment and preventative measures such as fissure sealants. Desrin is caring and patient and treats a lot of nervous patients within the practice.

Carole is our dental hygienist, she prides her self on her work. Carole started her career in dentistry fresh out of school, she initially was a dental nurse and qualified in 1978. Carole went on to qualify as a dental hygienist at Liverpool University in 1985 and she joined the team in 2008. Carole continues to expand her dental knowledge, keeping up to date with all the latest techniques. She is extremely conscientious member of the team.
Val joined Regency House Dental Practice in 2008. She qualified as a dental hygienist in 1985.
Her peaceful and calm approach to dental hygiene helps to put patients at ease under her care. She works alongside a number of the nurses at the practice and provides hygienist appointments and home regime advice.
Michelle is the Practice Manger at Regency House Dental Practice, and what she doesn’t know about this practice isn’t worth knowing. Michelle started working at the practice in 1981! Michelle not only helps Mr and Mrs Ram with the running of the practice but is also a dental nurse, keeping her skills updated in surgery and often works on reception being at the front line of the practice. Michelle is always looking to update her skills; she has completed a number of NVQ courses in Business and Admin, Team Leading and Management to name a few. Michelle is a friendly face and is easily approachable for all the team and patients alike.
Julie is head nurse at Regency House Dental Practice, she joined back in 2004. Julie started her dental nursing career and gained her qualification in Dental Nursing in 1992, she went on to qualify in dental radiography in 2007. You will often find Julie with Monika; they have worked closely together since Monika joined the practice and make a great team. She plays an important role in the practice and is also the ‘Radiation Protection Supervisor.’ Her daily duties included all aspects of assisting Monika in the surgery, along with arranging maintenance of dental equipment and x-ray units; she is also the voice of experience for other nurses and is always there to lend a hand.
Liz is Mr Ram’s nurse; she works closely with him to provide general dentistry and orthodontic treatment to both adults and children. Liz joined Regency House Dental Practice in 2009. She qualified as Dental Nurse in 1988 and since this time has gone on to further her knowledge in a number of fields; she qualified in dental radiography in 1993, sedation in 1996, oral hygiene education in 2010, dental impression taking in 2011, dental photography in 2014 and fluoride application in 2016. She’s been extremely busy and takes a keen interest in expanding her skills. Liz is extremely organised and always keeps herself busy. She rarely sits still!
Kirsty joined us in 2012; she qualified as a dental nurse in 2010 and then went on to gain her qualification in Dental Radiography in 2013 and Oral Health Education in 2014. Kirsty often works on reception but you will find her covering surgeries too. She is on hand to take x-rays and provide oral health education sessions; she sees a variety of patients to assist them in their daily cleaning routine and offering advice on diet and lifestyle to ensure patients have a healthy mouth. With a caring and professional manner she is a flexible member of the team. Kirsty and Tracy make a welcoming, friendly, front of house reception team.
Tracy is often the first face you will see when coming into the practice, working mainly on reception with Kirsty. Tracy joined the team in 2012. She is also a qualified dental nurse, gaining her dental surgery assistant qualification in 1977. Tracy can be found working with the hygienist too. Tracy is a friendly member of the team, remembering a lot of patients by name, she is always on hand to explain treatment options.
Rebecca joined the team in May 2013. Rebecca started her dental nursing career in 2007 and gained her qualification in 2011, since then she has gone on to further her knowledge qualifying in fluoride application in 2014 and as a oral hygiene educator in 2015. Rebecca is friendly and approachable. She is usually found working with Mrs Ram.
Grace is the newest member of our nursing team. She joined Regency House Dental Practice in August 2016. She is a trainee and currently working towards her NVQ level 3 in Dental Nursing. Grace works with all clinicians but closely with the hygienist. She is keen to learn new skills.
